About Me

Born in Bham, AL. Moved to NJ when I was 10, graduated from Cinnaminson HS, then moved back to AL and graduated from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) with a BA and MS in Criminal Justice. ROLL TIDE!! At the Methodist Student Foundation (Wesley) I met Tiffany who had much pity upon me, ha ha, and went out on a date with me. We dated for 3 years and were married on Feb 8th, 2003. She is my world, and my reason for taking hold of each moment in life. We live in TN with our two Welsh Corgis (Carys and Tegan). I love working with The Edge Ministries and going backpacking in all of the elements that God provides, especially the rain.

I started my military career in 1993 with my best buddy EJ. The recruiter got us both signed up and to Fort Jackson for basic training in '94. My Dad came and watched me graduate, then we drove by the old barracks that he lived in, when he attended basic training at Fort Jackson in the 60's. I earned the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6), after going to PLDC (primary leadership development course) and both phases of BNCOC (basic non-commissioned officers course). I switched from the US Army Reserves to the TN National Guard in '03, and went through OCS (officer candidate school). After being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant at Fort Benning, GA, I went straight to OBC (officer basic course) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD for Maintenance and Ammunition training. I am now assigned to the 278th Regimental Combat Team, TN Army National Guard as a Maintenance Platoon Leader.
